Divine Dine + Wine curbs craving for summer fests

It's just this time of year when I yearn for a good old fashioned neighborhood festival. The need is deeper than a warm, summer sun beating down on my bare arms. I want to meander through the crowds and peak in on different vendors while enjoying the sound of live music in the distance, and the wonderful aromas wafting from food tents.
If you're craving a warm, neighborhood event to soften winter's blow, West Central Association is hosting Divine Dine + Wine next month. For all of you foodies, Anne Burrell, host of Emmy Nominated "Secrets of a Restaurant Chef" and "Worst Cooks in America," as well as New York Times Best-Selling Author of Cook Like a Rock Star is hosting the event. I hope she brings the passion she's known for to spice up the night.
Divine Dine + Wine seems to offer attendees an opportunity to celebrate local businesses with what are described as culinary creations from more than 25 local restaurants, along with specialty drinks from a mixologist, and craft beers and wines sold in the area. I plan on attending. I'm most interested to see how WCA utilizes Burrell at the event, and excited to finally see the inside of Venue One.
The event takes place February 9th from 6-9pm. Proceeds benefit the West Central Association, which in turn I hope benefits businesses in our neighborhood. For more information, visit www.wcachicago.org.
